Warranty

A warranty has two parts

They are written in your contract before you sign, with the terms beside each.

  • 01

    The maker's material warranty

Covers the product. The maker's exact wording, its term and what it excludes go beside the product on your estimate.

    • Who it covers and for how long

    • What it doesn't cover

    • Whether it transfers if you sell

  • 02

    An enhanced warranty, where offered

Some makers offer more when a roof is installed as a system by a contractor they accept. If the product you choose has one, we say what it takes and whether we qualify.

    • What the contractor must do

    • Who registers it

    • What it adds

  • 03

    Our workmanship warranty

Covers how we installed the roof. The term and what it covers are in your contract.

    • The term, in writing

    • What is and isn't covered

About warranties

What warranty do I get?

Two parts. The maker's material warranty covers the product, and our workmanship warranty covers how we installed it. The terms and what each one covers are written in your contract before you sign.

What does "lifetime" mean?

It depends on the maker. It usually means as long as you own a single-family home, for manufacturing defects only, and often reduced after the first years. We put the maker's exact wording next to the product on your estimate.

Want the warranty terms for your roof?

Ask at the visit and we put the maker's wording on the estimate.
